Microfilm reel contains two unrelated sets of records. First are the letter books of Henry Pershouse, covering 1834-1862. Most of the correspondence is business in nature, with some letters from 1834-1837 commenting on books he had read and an entry about the death of his uncle John Pershouse (1769-1841). These are followed by the account book of John Head, 1719-ca.1750. (The target misidentifies these records as an estate account book and household inventory from 1792-1815.) The account book records the customers names, the furniture made or repaired, and payments. As well, there are a few bills addressed to Head and part of his will.

John Head was a Quaker cabinetmaker in Philadelphia, moving there from England (where he was born in 1688) in the early 18th century.
